Rams, Chargers LA's stadium delayed to 2020

The opening of the new Ram’s and Charger’s stadium in Inglewood, CA is pushed back to 2020 due to record rainfall, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Work has stopped when rain brought 12 to 15 feet of water during excavation. It is estimated that two months will be lost to drain the hole.

Turner-AECOM Hunt joint venture has said that they cannot make up for the lost time since their schedule was designed to accomodate for only a 30 rain days.

Super Bowl LV is scheduled to be played at the new facility in February 2021 and now officials are seeking a waiver from the NFL owners for the event.
