The MTU 7.7 l diesel engine is a powertrain with turbocharger and intercooler providing 180 kW of power for the JCB JS300 and 210 kW for the JCB JS330 and JS370. These machines integrate selective catalytic reduction into the exhaust system, with the dosing of a urea-based additive that reduces NOx emissions by almost 90%.

Thanks to the MTU engine, JCB was able to reduce the number of fuel filters needed to 2 instead of 3. This reduces operating costs. A fuel shut-off valve has been added to facilitate maintenance and the improved air filter.
