Barin inspects Spanish bridge

Italian manufacturer Barin has delivered an underbridge inspection unit AB20/SL to the Spanish company Dragados Y Drace Infraestructuras based in Puerto Real, Cadiz, Spain.

The underbridge inspection unit AB20/SL aims to help the Spanish company to supply security and the maintenance of the “Constitution of 1812 bridge” also known as la Pepa Bridge which crosses the Bay of Cadiz and linking Cadiz with Puerto Real.

The AB20/SL features various technical data that make the bridge inspection unit the most complete on the market, as it is a versatile and very compact, allowing the operation underbridge and overhead like an aerial platform. The new unit provides horizontal outreach underbridge of 20 m, vertical depth of 24.50 m, platform capacity of 300 kg, and also during operation, release a bridge barrier clearance of 4.60 m, and the sidewalk clearance of 4.40 m for pedestrian.

Furthermore, the AB20/SL is designed with a Scania P370 LB 8X2*6 HNB Euro 6 truck chassis that helps the unit to occupy only one lane to ease the traffic flow while operating.

Barin produces the AB20/SL in their facility in Italy.
