The government of Panama announced to the press that it had taken "the necessary measures to prohibit the award of public contracts and the signing of contracts with the Odebrecht Group for future tenders." Convicted of corruption to win contracts in several countries, the company will collaborate in investigations by the prosecution and, until "it guarantees the payment of the sums to be restituted to the State, " said Alvaro Aleman, Chief of Staff of the Presidency.
