Twisted Skyscrapers vs Stacked Towers

With the mounting popularity of Twisted & Spiraled Skyscrapers now come the Stacked Towers & Buildings.

While the Agora Garden, a 20-story plant-covered twisting tower shaped like a DNA strand designed by Belgian architect Vincent Callebaut, is under way in Taipei (Taiwan), with a completion date in 2016, the city of St. Louis (USA) has greenlighted the One Hundred building, a 36-story stacked tower designed by Studio Gang where every apartment is a corner apartment. Construction is expected to begin in 2017 with a 2019 completion date.

Like the twisted towers, stacked buildings have become fashionable due to their intriguing geometric designs. Among the most famous stacked towers is the China Development Bank Tower & Minsheng Financial Tower in Shenzen by Saraiva & Associados. The stacked design has also touched individual houses and commercial offices. Many of them have now changed the skyline with their individuality.
