24 Grove cranes arrived in Egypt

Orascom Construction, Construction and Engineering group based in Egypt, has expanded its Manitowoc fleet with an order of 24 new cranes Grove all-terrain.

Orascom Construction is a subsidiary of Orascom Trading, Main Manitowoc distributor in Egypt for the Grove brand. The order foresees the delivery of 10 Grove RT650E, six RT765E-2, six RT890E and two RT9130E. The majority of these cranes are intended to operate in power plants and oil refineries.

"We have chosen the all-terrain cranes Grove because they were designed to adjust to desert environments and they can also offer a great maneuverability in confined spaces," said Mamdouh Fahmy, Product Manager at Orascom Construction.

As a reminder, the Grove RT650E, with a capacity of 50 t, features a main boom with 4 sections which extends 32 m through extensions. The RT765E-2, meanwhile, offers a capacity of 60 t with a main boom of 33.5 m.

The RT890E, for its part, manages 80 t of lifting while RT9130E-2 is one of the largest all-terrain crane in the world. With a maximum capacity of 120 t, it is equipped with a telescopic boom with 5 sections of 48.8 m.
