Volvo lays high performance on Indian roads

India, the seventh largest country by area in the world, has adopted the newest Volvo CE paver to restore the road network the mid-sized P6820C ABG, as part of the development of government’s road building program and infrastructure development.

The Volvo P6820C tracked paver is powered by Volvo’s D6E COM IIIA/EPA Tier 3 engine, providing more powerful than its predecessor, and reduced fuel consumption up to 30% when operators uses smart power mode. Designed for high performance, the noise levels can also be reduced thanks to sound lowering components and a robust frame.

This new unit operates with a precise paving, equipped with Volvo Variomatic screed which offers a high degree of flexibility when changing paving widths from 2.5 to 5 or from 3 to 6 meters. By adding extensions, the machine can pave up to 9 meters widths. More, it features the capacity of paving up to 700 tonnes per hour at 9 meters width.

To simplify the maintenance, Volvo pavers are available with Care Kits to guarantee longer life and better performance of wear parts and customer service agreements (CSAs). This kit includes service and maintenance to cater to a variety of customer needs. The P6820C tracked paver is like all Volvo products, backed par Volvo CE’s extensive service network in India.
