Volvo shows its performance in extra height in South Korea

The family run company Sungdo Construction had chosen the ultra high-reach excavator Volvo EC480EHR to operate the demolition project with high safety standards in South Korea.

The company Sungdo specialized in working in high profile demolition projects has elected the Volvo EC480EHR to demolish a 10-storey hospital in Changwon, the first of its kind to be used in the country. The machine provides the extra height needed and was customized with 3.4 meter extension to the standard 28 meter long boom. The ultra high-reach excavator has a steel frame-mounted Falling Object Guard (FOG) cabin and reinforced windows to project the operator from being stuck by debris which are the real benefit for the safety features.

According to Sundgo Construction, the high-reach demolition machine EC480EHR can not only improve working conditions, but it can also optimize the working rate. For the completion of the project that would normally take 10 days, with this high-reach excavator it would take only 7 days.

The company, always looking to raise safety standards in working height demolition believes that with the performance of the excavator EC480EHR, the machine will elevate safety standards in the country.
