Manitou grows its ambitions with Terex Equipment Private Ltd. in India

Manitou, to strengthen its ambitions to grow the handling market in Asia, has announced an acquisition of the facility of construction equipment Terex Equipment Private Ltd. (TEPL), located in Greater Noïda, India.

The facility founded in 2003, provides the design, manufacture and distribution of construction equipment, particularly the loaders backhoes, dumpers and skid steer loaders. In 2016, TEPL has announced revenue of nearly € 30 million which represents mostly in India and Southern Asia.

Manitou has underlined that this acquisition fits perfectly its strategy to reinforce their presence in emerging markets. TEPL, with the solid network and high-quality of products will help Manitou to continue further develop new product ranges for Asia and emerging countries.

No financial details of the transaction have been released yet but the deal is expected to complete during the first half of 2017.
