Based in Ghent, the Belgian truck assembly plant Volvo Trucks announces a production record in 2016 with the assembly of 44,758 trucks.
Revealing an increasing European demand last year and the success of Volvo Trucks whose market share now stands at 16.9% in this market segment, this reflects also the success of Swedish trucks in Belgium.

Volvo Trucks holds 22.1% in the over 6 t segment and 23.8% in the over 16 t segment. Dating back to 1975, the Ghent plant thus broke a historic production record in 2016 with 44,758 trucks assembled, 14% more than in 2015.
