Liebherr: a loader L 580 XPower operates in R.E.M worksite

A L 580 XPower wheel loader from Liebherr has evolved since September 2016 in the construction site of Eyzin Pinet of REM (Roche Exploitation Materials). The new machine benefits from a Stage IV engine and replaces the model of the same name bought in 2012.

Supplied by the Tecmat dealer, the new L 580 XPower takes a decisive role in the production process of Eyzin Pinet’s quarry. In particular, it is responsible for the removal and loading of materials extracted by a Liebherr R 944 crawler excavator which supplies a screening plant. The L 580 XPower stands out for its superior power, convenience and high efficiency.

Its distinctive feature is its power-sharing transmission in line with the standard Stage IV emissions standard. This combines the hydrostatic drive, the most efficient short cycle drive, and the mechanical drive for long distances and slopes. It distributes the 230 kW power supplied by the engine between the hydrostatic and mechanical branch by a planetary gear.

Energy efficiency level, average fuel consumption is 12.2 l / hour. In addition, the new 5.7 m3 capacity bucket also increases productivity. Its new design is highly appreciated as it penetrates easily and efficiently into the material.
