Liebherr at the service of Feickert GmbH

The German construction company Feickert GmbH based in Weillburg / Hessen rented a Liebherr R 976 crawler excavator for a pipe laying job in Rosbach, near Frankfurt, in 2016.

As part of the development of a new industrial area in Rosbach, Hesse, Feickert GmbH requested the services of a R 976 crawler excavator to carry out pipe laying work. During 7 days and over a length of 72 m, the machine successively arranged different pipe blocks with a respective weight of 31.8 t. Beginning in April 2016, this work is supervised by the town of Rosbach. The site is scheduled to run until June 2018 and includes 4 km of canal, 900 m of connection to a distribution network, 1.6 km of drinking water pipe, 3 km of cable and 800 m² of road construction.

Weighing about 90 t, the R 976 is powered by a Liebherr diesel engine with a power of 400 kW. It is equipped with a monoblock boom of 7.20 m and a balance of 2.90 m. Equipped with a heavy weight of 16 t, it is very balanced and precise for the lifting and laying of pipes. Following this first project, it joined the Liebherr-Mietpartner rental fleet. It is currently one of the largest crawler excavators in the German rental market.
