New metro station to be created in Abu Dhabi’s Zayed City

An Urban Planning Council (UPC)’s statement unveils the possibility to add one more underground station in the UAE‘s city area, Zayed City.

As part of Plan Abu Dhabi 2030, a new metro station could be created in the capital city Abu Dhabi.

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport estimates the metro length at about 131 kilometers, enough to enhance traffic conditions on the highway network and better connect Abu Dhabi Island, its suburbs and communities such as Saadiyat, Yas Islands and Al Raha Beach.
