The state-owned company, Polskie Linie Kolejowe (PKP), responsible for managing Poland’s railway infrastructures has commissioned the work.

The building of level crossings, new service and access roads is also planned.
Two years are required to complete the work.
Astaldi, which owns a 65% share of the contract, is to carry out the project in joint venture with the Kazakh contractor Zhol Zhondeushi (25%), the local company PBDiM (5%) and the Italian CLF (5%).
The contract is worth €171M.
