French Construction Activity exports rather well….
According to the latest ranking established by the Sefi (French Syndicate of the exporting companies), French Construction Activity ranks second in export. China is number one in the world.

The ranking of Sefi 2016 ranks countries on the basis of the international turnover of their companies for the year 2015, recalls the daily Les Echos which delivers a figure of 37.3 billion euros (+ 6.3% in One year) for France. Second to China - which displays a turnover of 60 billion euros (+ 22% in one year) - it nevertheless up by Germany, yet 3rd exporting nation in the world. Germany, which nonetheless realized a turnover of 26.6 billion euros down 0.3%, still pays the acquisition of Hochtief by the Spanish ACS and the sale of assets Bilfinger. Overall, the euro zone is doing well in the ranking with a turnover of 158 billion euros in exports (+ 5.3%).

PUBLICITÉ
Despite its rank, Les Echos highlights the drop of exports from France to Africa which weakens its performance. In 2015, France will have exported only 10.4% against 26.3% in 2003. Africa is only the 3rd destination of exports for French construction behind North America with 4 billion exported in 2015. Africa is now the favorite playground for Chinese construction companies, which account for 58% of exports in 2015. France nevertheless maintains its exports to the Middle East and is making significant progress in Europe.

In the end, worldwide construction turnover stands at 277 billion euros in 2015 (+ 11%). Europe will have concentrated 80 billion exports (+ 6.1%) against 59 billion for Asia-Oceania (+ 1.5%). North America is back in force with exports rising 20% ​​($ 38.7 billion) thanks to plans to boost infrastructure in the United States and Canada.
