Algeria: Paschal made dam

In Algeria, a dam with 38 meter hight, dedicated to provide drinking water and for irrigation, was created, it was constructed with concrete and propping up with the structure Paschal.

Further to the request of Algerian Agency for intrastructure, a dam will be realized to supply drinking water to 3 cities : Ain Ferrah, Abtal El Oued and Sidi Abdeljabar, and also to irrigue Kachout plain. Algeria is investing in this project nearly 20 M€. The construction work began in February 2013 and should completed in December 2016.

To realise the project of the dam Oued Taht Mascara, Seror, a PASCHAL’s regular customer, is using 125 m² Modular universal formwork, 200 m² of TTR Trapezoidal girder circular formwork and 70 units of SPK 270 dam brackets. 65 000 m3 of concrete are needed and divided into 29 000 m3 for preparatory measures and 36 000 m3 for the dam and the additional building structures. The concrete dam is fragmented into 200 phases of 93 sq meter each.

The dam was performed in using the trapezoidal girder circular formwork TTR while to form the crown of the dam, the dam brackets SPK 27 were equipped the units TTR.
