According to the daily magazine La Tribune, this is a consortium of two French companies, the construction group Bouygues and ADP, which was selected by the Cuban authorities to carry out the expansion of the airport of Havana, proceed to the modernization and its asset management. An official statement precise that investments and work thereunder shall be "in line with the estimated increase in passenger numbers," which follows the historic thaw in diplomatic and trade relations between the US and Cuba since the end of 2014 . Bouygues and ADP won a concession contract for this airport infrastructure, where transits each year about 1.75 million tourists. An AFP report adds that a branch of the French Development Agency will be soon open in Cuba, in order to finance the projects of transport and particularly in renewable energy.
