Cat 745 articulated dump truck

The new Cat 745 articulated hauler, with a payload capacity of 45.2 t, has a completely redesigned ROPS cab for improved comfort and ease of use.

At the entrance to the cabin, the new "wake-up" function triggers the display of the machine. The lighter / stronger cab door provides better sealing against dust infiltration. The quieter design reduces the internal noise levels by 5 dB. The new infrared glass reduces the greenhouse effect inside the cabin, while the left and right sliding windows improve ventilation. The new seat can be heated or refreshed whilst a new adjustable passenger seat makes its appearance. A foot pedal controls the new lights that illuminate the steps. Retro-mounted cabs provide better visibility around the vehicle.

Inside the cab, a new combined transmission and lifting lever allows operators to effectively control the speed of the 745 and lift functions. At the touch of a switch, operators can choose between manual or fully automatic lifting. The machine also incorporates the new Cat Detect system with Stability Assist which alerts the operator if the tractor or truck has reached a critical angle.

Powered by a 504 kW Cat C18 ACERT engine, it meets Tier 4F / Stage IV standards and saves 5% fuel. The CX38B High-Density Power Shift transmission improves the performance and productivity of the dumper. Permanent transmission with 6-wheel drive allows traffic on the most difficult terrain.
