Improvements to the D6T drills include Cat Connect Grade with Slope Assist system as standard on the machines, providing blade positioning assistance without the need for additional equipment or a GPS signal. But the American manufacturer also added a new fully automatic, 4-speed transmission, whose gearshift is done with an integrated clutch lock to increase the energy efficiency of the machine. The operator has only to adjust the desired ground speed, and the Auto Shift system selects the optimum machine speed smoothly and automatically according to the operating conditions.
