Yanmar: 9 new models from Germany

The recent acquisition of the Terex Compact Germany factory in Crailsheim will enable Yanmar to complete its offer of 9 new compact models, including 3 wheel excavators and 4 articulated loaders.

The new models marketed by Yanmar this year include three wheel excavators from 9 tons to 13 tons, 2 midis tracked excavators of 8 t and 12 tons equipped with articulated booms and 4 articulated loaders from 700 l to 1200 l. Also note that the OEM agreement concluded in 2015 with the Italian Venieri is still valid for the supply of 2 models of loaders, which allows Yanmar to present a range of 6 articulated loaders from 800 l to 1200 L capacity. The network ex Terex will continue for the moment to market the same machines but under the well-known name of Schaeff.

"We are counting on the addition of new products to create a genuine range effect, especially on the German market, which is very fond of articulated loaders and wheel excavators. It will also allow us to open the doors of certain German dealers who were still unwilling to play the Yanmar card" said Arnaud Berthier, site manager at the Saint-Dizier plant.

Yanmar confirms with this acquisition its intention to become a compact full liner with more than 40 models available between 800 kg and 13 t. Other products should ultimately complete its offer, especially with lighting tower and generating sets from Spain, since the takeover of Himoinsa. Finally, an accessory division has also been set up, with Stéphane Boutier, responsible for the development of industrial partnerships to create a real offer. Yanmar already offers its catalog breaker rock hammers, quick connectors and buckets. Sorting clamps and scissors for demolition as tools for forestry work will soon be added.
