Hitachi has extensively redesigned its crawler excavator models with a new global approach that uses more than 200 modified and/or upgraded components. The idea is always the same for the manufacturer whose bias is the "uncompromising" in performance, quality, durability and the lowest cost of ownership for users. Hitachi excavators of medium capacity of the series 6 receive new engines compatible with the European regulations of Stage IV. They opt for a post-treatment device, including a DOC oxidation catalyst, SCR catalytic reduction and a silencer for complete sound reduction. For the two new models of wheeled excavators, the ZW140W and ZW145W, the post-treatment system is supplemented by an integrated particulate filter between the DOC and the SCR.

These excavators also feature Hitachi’s latest technological advances in hydraulic management, Trias II with 3 hydraulic pumps and Hios IV with 2 hydraulic pumps, the objective of which is to reduce total hydraulic loss while reducing fuel consumption. Further improvements have been made by the manufacturer to the cab design, UV-resistant ABS bracket, hose connections in the back-up circuit to reduce oil leakage, wide opening of covers, non-slip surface and Handrails at the access to the cabins and the upper part of the excavators.
Revised and corrected
Hitachi has also launched four new Zaxis-6 wheeled excavators, including the new short-spoke model, the ZX145W-6. These machines benefit from more than 100 improvements, ranging from the presence of simple O-rings and sealing to the reinforcement of the upper structure, boom and arm, and the choice of new phase IV engines. Finally, the manufacturer is launching its latest ZW-6 ZW-6 wheel loader, the ZW180-6, with an automatic transmission lock-up and high visibility in the cab. This is due to the repositioning of the exhaust pipe and the air inlet at the rear, the bonnet with large curved shapes, and the rear view camera with color screen. Hitachi loaders are also known for their quiet operation and ease of access to maintenance points. This model has, for example, an accessible battery cut-off for any safety intervention on the engine. Its phase IV compliant engine is equipped with a high-volume exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system, a common rail fuel injection system and a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC). The air filter has also been repositioned at the rear for optimized fresh air intakes and easy maintenance.
