The Cat Grade Control 3D integrates the D3K2, D4K2, and D5K2

The Cat Grade Control 3D system automates the functions of the machine during leveling applications allowing operators to work more efficiently. It is now integrated into the Cat D3K2, D4K2, and D5K2.

As a reminder, the system has an integrated design with two antennas mounted on the roof of the machine that eliminate the need to climb onto the blade to remove masts and cables at the end of the day. The AccuGrade Ready option is part of the device, which adds versatility to the machine when satellite reception is limited.

Cat Grade Control 3D has the merit of effectively assisting operators by displaying in the cab the leveling plan, cutting or filling data and various indicators. The system eliminates the need for staking and manual checking, which considerably reduces fuel consumption and machine wear. In addition, Cat Grade Control 3D allows you to work with limited visibility.

In addition to the antennas on the roof, the device has an inertial measuring unit that detects the orientation of the machine, GNSS receivers, a radio, position sensing cylinders, quick settings and a color control screen. Three "intelligent" functions allow the machine to match blade loads according to ground conditions, which ensures consistently full blades.

In addition, Grade Control 3D assists site managers now able to automatically track the movement of materials and monitor job progress via mapping data provided by the system. Data can be accessed daily via Cat Link technologies (Vision Link 3D).
