Volvo installs broadband in Sweden

Residents of northern Sweden now have access to broadband internet thanks to the company Aspåsnäsets Gräv AB, equipped by Volvo CE.

Despite their low population density (10 persons / km²), the Nordic regions of Sweden now have access to broadband internet. Sweden has the 5th highest number of subscriptions in the world. Stockholm has at least 95% coverage or more, but surprisingly, the northern territories are even better served (98%).

To access this service, Aspåsnäsets Gräv AB specializes in the installation of high-speed Internet lines and has a fleet of 8 machines, including 7 Volvo, supplied by the Swecon Östersund dealer. It includes a compact ECR58 compact excavator, an EW160 wheel excavator, EC145 and EC300 crawler excavators and a L120E wheel loader.

Acquired in 2016, the excavator EW60E is powered by a Volvo Stage IIIB engine. It is used for the installation of broadband but also for maintenance projects in urban areas. It also benefits from customized accessories: an inclined tilt-rotator with grapple, and a winch for laying the networks.
