SNC-Lavallin yielded 19 French airports to Edeis
Canadian engineering-construction group SNC Lavalin announced the sale of all of its assets in France and Monaco to Edeis. An operation that concerns especially the management of 19 regional airports and the marina of Rouen. The amount of the transaction has not been  disclosed. 

SNC-Lavalin sells all its assets in France to Edeis, a structure born of a partnership between the holding company Impact Holding and the investment fund Ciclad, French newspaper Les Echos tells us. More precisely, 13 infrastructure agencies, 19 regional airports - Angoulême, Annecy, Auxerre, Bourges, Châlon-Champforgeuil, Cherbourg, Dijon, Le Havre, Mayotte, Nimes, Reims, Rouen, , Toulouse-Francazal, Tours, Troyes and Vannes - as well as the marina of Rouen. On the other hand, the Puy-de-Dôme rack-railway is scheduled for sale in 2017.

The disengagement of the Canadian group concerns some 1,100 employees, although for the time being the actors of the file have ruled out any risk on the job. According to the French newspaper, Les Echos, SNC-Lavalin explained that its French assets had not generated the expected profitability, and that since last August it was studying an offer to buy its subsidiary hexagonal deposited by Impact Holding-Ciclad. A decision that comes at a tense time of a major restructuring carried out by Quebec company, following corruption scandals about obtaining public contracts in different countries.
