Thirty years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, the No. 4 reactor destroyed from the power plant was confined under the enormous 327 m displaced containment arch from its assembly site to its final location. It now covers the former temporary structure assembled precipitously after the 1986 accident.

Namely, the Chernobyl Arch (signed Novarka) is the largest mobile land structure ever built with a range of 257 m, a width of 162 m, a height of 108 m and a total weight of 36 000 t equipped. It represents an investment of 1.5 billion euros.
