Chamonix: the Green lane cycle path takes shape

In Chamonix, Motorways and Tunnel of Mont Blanc (ATMB), the commons community of Vallée de Chamonix, the Regional Council of the Haute-Savoie and the region of Auvergne - Rhone-Alpes have inaugurated 1.5 km of the green lane cycle path from the "Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc" and in particular the section "Les Bossons-the Gaillands" with a length of 350 m.

The Green lane cycle patch of the "Lake Geneva to Mont Blanc" is an iconic cycling path of the Haute-Savoie. Intended only for bicycles and pedestrians, it emerges gradually. Recently, a new portion of 350 m was created in Chamonix between the bridges Gaillands and Piralotaz. This spatial planning represents an investment of € 350,000 of which € 200,000 were supported by ATMB.

The development of this cycling path is one of the 52 projects of environmental integration plan of ATMB. This approach aims to preserve water resources, natural hazards, noise, biological corridors, landscape integration and in particularly the support of the alternative transportation and air quality. € 38 M are devoted to this commitment.
