Ihimer SpA becomes Kato Imer SpA

Following a major financial operation, on 17 February, Ihimer Spa will adopt its new identity: Kato Imer SpA. The new denomination will take effect as of 1 March 2017.

A few weeks ago, it was reported that the Japanese multinational Kato Works and the Japanese conglomerate IHI Corporation had signed an agreement for the transfer of all the shares of IHI Construction Machinery (IK) from IHI to Kato. Since 1 January 2017, the Italian-based IK company in San Gimignano, which controls 51% of Ihimer SpA (the remaining 49% is owned by Imer Group SpA), has changed its name to Kato Heavy Industries Construction Machinery (Kato HiCOM) .

In this context, on 17 February, Ihimer Spa will adopt the new identity: Kato Imer SpA. The new name will take effect on 1 March 2017. The new logo of the company will be formalized at the Samoter fair, which will be held in Verona (Italy) from 22 to 25 February.
