This is the first tramway project for Alstom in Taiwan. Currently under construction, the Kaohsiung tramway network will be extended by 13.4 km with 23 stations as part of a second portion. The tram line will then reach a length of 22.1 km and will include 37 stations. It will circle the city and allow correspondence with two existing MRT lines (red and orange).
