Strong Increase in net profit for the French Group Eiffage
Eiffage Group has announced a growth of 2016 results of +4.8% in the 4th quarter, particularly in the Constructing activities (+5%), improved thus the consolidated sales slightly up by 0.7% (€14 billion). The net profit of the Groupe share is increasing by 33.3%.

Consequently, the Constructing activities achieved a turnover of 11.5 billion euros (-1.2%) bolstered by international operations (+ 4.5% to 2.73 billion euros). The recent acquisitions made in Germany (MDM and Bohn), Switzerland (Yerly) and Benelux (Vuylesteke) contributed € 78 million, or 3%. In France, sales reached to 8.72 billion euros, down by 1.5%. 

PUBLICITÉ
The Construction division grew by 4.3% to 3.67 billion euros (+ 4.6% in France and + 3.3% outside France), with an upbeat of a very dynamic 4th quarter (+ 9.1%). The Infrastructure division decreased by 1.1% to 4.33 billion euros and in France, a decrease of 5% mainly in civil engineering, was due to a result of the completion of the work on the Bretagne-Pays-de-la-Loire HSL. However, international operations were increased (+ 9.6%). 

Energy division slowed by 3.3% to 3.46 billion euros. In France, activity declined by 3.6% but increased by 3% following the construction of the Cestas solar power plant. Outside France, it contracted by 2.2%. In the Concessions, motorway traffic is increasing (+ 3.7% at APRR, + 5.2% on the A65 motorway, + 2.7% on the Millau viaduct and + 24.2% on the The Avenir in Senegal), while activities related to Public-Private Partnerships increased by 4.6% to 2.56 billion euros. 

It should be noted that the Group’s net income was € 416 million, compared with € 312 million in 2015, an increase of 33.3%. And thanks to sustained order intake, the order book of the Works amounted to 12 billion euros, up 5.1% year on year (+ 0.8% over 3 months). It provides 12.6 months of activity to the Contracting divisions.
