Grove brings out the truck-crane TMS9000-2

The new truck-crane of Grove Manitowoc, the TMS9000-2 with a capacity of 100 t, has a lighter, longer and better design.

The new TMS9000-2 offers a number of advantages over previous models. It allows fleet managers to increase their use and lifting capacity. Lighter than 363 kg, it travels very easily on the road and meets the weight requirements of North American standards. Its longer boom (51.6 m Megaform) uses Grove’s Twin-Lock fastening system and, combined with a 2.6 m wide and 13.4 m long compact chassis, improves range more applications. The design also accept all counterweight configurations (5% efficiency).

Efficiency is further enhanced by the CCS control system and six predefined boom sequences that maximize the use of the crane. It has a very intuitive arrow configuration mode which allows it to position the boom length optimally for a specific lifting. The operator simply enters the lifting parameters and the system calculates the best configuration. A new stabilization system also gives the TMS9000-2 greater flexibility on site.

The crane is powered by a Cummins ISX12 engine with a power output of 336 kW adapted to North American standards. Transmission, suspension, brakes and wheels are similar to the TMS9000E. Customers can also choose between manual or automatic transmission.
