In the context of the redevelopment of the Ring, the Flemish region wants to ensure a smoother and safer circulation around Brussels. The project consists of separating transit traffic from local traffic on the Ring. These two flows will benefit from separate circulation bands. An infrastructure called annex is planned, namely the development of tram lines and bridges with cycle paths, which will improve the link between the Brussels periphery and the capital. The works cover the northern part of the road between the Grand-Bigard interchange and the Woluwe-Saint-Étienne interchange.
