Volvo Penta supplies engines to new marine hoist
The engine manufacturer Volvo Penta provides 5-liter engines that integrate with the technology of the Italian manufacturer Cimolai for the production of marine hoist. The power of the machines makes it possible to lift boats weighing up to 560 tons out of the water and to position them in dry dock for maintenance operations.

Volvo Penta and its industrial product distributor Carmi began working with the Italian manufacturer Cimolai Technology to supply twin TAD571VE engines for a new travel lift. The MBH 560 is a mobile unit that allows marinas to hoist boats up to to 560 tons in or out of the water, for launching, repairs and maintenance. For Volvo Penta, Cimolai Technology is a new customer: "We have many years experience in marine applications, so we have a good reputation and that was part of the appeal for Cimolai" says Matteo Mambelli, representative of Volvo Penta for Industrial multi-purpose engines. "We are very active in this area. They wanted a simple solution and our engines are easy to install. We manufacture all the components rather than using other suppliers, and we can ensure the whole service, making the work easier from the point of view of maintenance. "

PUBLICITÉ
The Volvo Penta TAD571VE is a powerful yet economical four-cylinder engine. Developing 175 hp, it offers good torque at low rpm, allowing a fast response and ease of moving heavy machinery. With a satisfactory fuel efficiency and an exhaust after-treatment that uses a selective catalytic reduction system (CRS) rather than a diesel particulate filter (DPF), it maximizes the operating time and offers a low cost of d Operation.
