Construction21 makes its way in China
Portal created in 2012 to promote the environmental turn of the building, Construction21 announces a partnership agreement with the CABR to create the platform Construction21 China.

This Chinese platform, led by the National Academy of Building Research (NERCBT), a member of the China Academy of Building Research (CABR), the public research center dedicated to construction, will open in February 2017. "The Chinese market is vast and there are a large number of solutions and construction professionals. We need to cooperate with Construction21 for our international communication and the improvement of our technologies. We will share widely the best solutions of construction and will work for the development of Construction21 to extend its influence to sustainable development professionals, "says Linna Xie, Associate Director of the CABR Department.

Christian Brodhag, President of Construction21 International, recalls "the ability of Construction21 to disseminate globally good practices of construction and the sustainable city, by bringing out solutions implemented by actors on the ground. The creation of this first portal in Asia, in the country which is the world’s largest emitter of greenhouse gases and the first in international climate negotiations, is an essential step towards the global coverage targeted by the Construction21 network by 2020 ".

The Construction21 China portal will open in February 2017 for the launch of the 2017 Green Building & City Solutions Awards launched on March 15th at MIPIM. All case studies describing buildings, neighborhoods or exemplary sustainable infrastructures already published on one of the Construction21 platforms will be automatically accessible in Chinese, giving them a direct visibility to Chinese professionals. Similarly, the case studies published in China will be readable in English, French or Spanish by professionals from Europe or Africa.
