On the occasion of the 15th Conference of the Asia-Pacific region focused on construction of the infrastructure, the Minister and Vice Chancellor visited the construction of Hong Kong metro network expansion and in particular the construction of the tunnel - commonly called Shatin to Central Link - directed by the joint-venture Dredging-Bouygues

The Shatin to Central Link is an ambitious extension of an existing underground subway. Dredging-Bouygues was commissioned by MTR to realise 4 tunnels sections in high traffic density areas. The project had choosen Herrenknecht to provide the tunnel boring machines with a diameter of 7.41m each.
