Terex extends the range of Crawler cranes

Terex has just launched the new lattice boom crawler crane Terex LC 300 with unique lifting capacity and a design enabling for both on-site transport and operating.

With a maximum allowed capacity of 300-ton and a load capacity of 1 810 mt, the new Terex 300 LC is known as the largest crawler crane in its product range. Due to its power and flexibility, it is suitable for heavy civil infrastructure construction projects such as bridge, petrochemical power plant or wind turbines industries.

Equipped with the Terex’s latest counterweight system, it consists in two batteries placed on each side (instead of a single battery). A solution that reduces the height of the counterweight, and belittles the equipment center of gravity, eliminates the central ballast and improve the whole performance. The teams can quickly adjust the height of the front and rear batteries according to counterweights need.

The new model will be manufacturerd in the Jinan’s facility in China. "With a high-performance main boom, a fixed or variable dart and different extensions of its head, the crawler crane LC 300 allows our customers to achieve their projects with efficiency and have a greater lifting flexibility," said Guntram Jakobs, Product and Marketing Manager of Terex Cranes.

Knowing that the LC 300 can be equipped with a main boom of 84 m or 60 m, and a derrick extension of 72 m for a total length of 132 m. When the remote control simplifies the standard assembly while operating, the Terex’s fall arrest system provides safety to the team during assembly et disassembly of the boom. To gain time, the main boom could be raised up to a length of 54m, without crane.
