The Volvo CE offensive at Conexpo 2017

At Conexpo 2017, Volvo will showcase no fewer than 28 machines with revolutionary concept. The builder will provide visitors with an interactive experience to push the boundaries of design and technology. They will be able to interact with new intelligent systems, control systems, visit the "3D Theater" and discover the new range of technologies of the manufacturer including ActiveCar Direct and Dig Assist.

Dig Assist allows the operator of the excavator to define its working parameters such as depth and quality and visualize the progress in real time. This is the latest program in the Assist family, which also includes Compact Assist and Load Assist. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with this program on the Volvo Co-Pilot interface, the main man-machine interface in Europe. They will also be given an overview of future Volvo Assist Co-Pilot programs deployed on ground compactors and articulated haulers.

ActiveCare Direct, considered the first telematics surveillance service of the industry and promulgated by the network of Volvo dealers, will also be showcased. This service, driven by a team of analysts from a special center, is able to proactively monitor machines and report customer fleets across the US and Canada. The service provides thoughtful analysis and practical recommendations to the client. An interface will be proposed on the stand to allow visitors to interact with telematics experts and see how the system works.

In terms of machines, there will be many choices. Among the 26 exhibited machines, visitors will discover the A60H, the largest articulated dump truck in the world; The EC750E, the largest excavator available from Volvo in North America; New wheel loaders; The HX02, a self-contained battery-electric concept that will debut on Conexpo. The show will be the occasion to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Volvo articulated hauler with a golden A40G recently auctioned at Ritchie Bros in favor of SkillsUSA and Skills / Compétences Canada, organizations dedicated to improving the level of Skills in North America.
