Volvo Mini Electric Dumper Wins Innovation Award

Volvo Construction Equipment is pleased to have won the Swedish Quality Innovation of the Year award for its electric and autonomous mini dumper HX1 concept.

The HX1 was awarded the prize by the Swedish Quality Institute (SIQ). Winner of the "Potential Innovations" category, the Volvo CE concept is part of an electrical research project that is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 95% and the total costs of ownership (TCO) by 25%.

The concept represents a new approach to a sustainable future based on electromobility and autonomous vehicles. Rather than having a few large, versatile machines, Volvo CE promotes the use of larger, smaller and, above all, more specialized machines. The approach aims to meet the current needs of customers by combining intelligent machine, automation and electromobility.
