SPAIN : SMOPYC welcomes Ammann

At the SMOPYC Exhibition which will be held in Zaragoza in Spain from 25 to 29 April, Amman will showcase the roadbuilding product range such as lightweight compaction equipment, heavy compaction equipment and the exclusive as1 control system for asphalt and concrete plants .

In compaction, Ammann heavy rollers include single drum, tandem and pneumatic models. All are known for their intuitive control, visibility and operator comfort. ACE^force and ACE^pro systems will be available on most of them. They eliminate unnecessary passes and reduce costs. In practice, they identify uncompacted spots and ACE^procan even react and automatically adjust the vibration parameters. All values are measured, displayed, evaluated including load-bearing capacity, number of passes, frequency and amplitude.

Among the rollers on display, one will have to stop on the compactor ASC 70 Tier 3, a machine known for its concept without rear axle that allows to ensure stability and traction. The control of the machine is intuitive, most suitable for the most inexperienced operators. The cabin is spacious and tiltable and sound levels are lower. A Tier 4 version of the machine is also available. The ARX 23 Tier 4i tandem roller is light and functional in the tight spaces and against curbs. It is equipped with a spacious platform and a sliding seat. An electronic control lever allows smooth starts and stops during asphalt paving.

For the Vibratory Plate compactors, the machines between 54 and 825 kg will either be on display, machines easy to use, equipped with diesel or gasoline engines and includingan easy control system when changing directions or steep grades. The handle is isolated from vibrations to minimize operator inconvenience. Most products are foldable and removable, an essential feature to operate in confined areas. The vibratory plate compactors are divided into three categories: the APF series which includes the lightest products (54-110 kg); the APR series which offers a twin-shaft exciter system (forward/reverse) with performances of great climbing ability from 30 to 35% depending on the model; And the APH series which includes the fully reversible and hydrostatic vibratory plates.

Also will be showcasing the ARW compactors able to operate very close to curbstones, trench compactors ARR 1575 and 1585 and Ramman 1585 able to overcome the high moisture content in clays thanks to their very high compaction energ , as well as the light Amman tandem rollers (1475-4325 kg) with a drum width of 820 to 1380 mm, handy and very easy to use.
